The SITE: Why a ticket?
No promises, no guarantees. Hyperbole and exaggeration without explanation or apology. The anticipation. The possibilities. The experience of a lifetime? The memories. You control the outcome.
Ticket in hand, you navigate the maze of assigned seats. Situated, you gaze out over the sea of nameless faces united for a common cause.
Lights dim. The electricity surges. Crowd noise strains as it reaches peak volume. The moment is upon us. Enjoy the show.
The ARTIST: Originally from Milford, Connecticut, David moved to Trumbull, Connecticut at the age of 10. It became apparent at an early age that art was in his future. Lessons began at the age of 6. Early art education included instruction in nearly all mediums: charcoal, pastels, colored pencil, pen & ink techniques, and acrylics, to name a few.
David's attention to detail and enthusiasm toward new challenges landed him his first design job at a pharmaceutical marketing firm in New Haven. As a classically trained graphic designer, he broadened his design scope by taking on projects which introduced him to video animation and medical illustration. In 1995, he parlayed a successful print career into the emerging field of online design.
While earning a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic design, David minored in psychology. He was intrigued by the effect that design has on human behavior. This valued insight would guide his design objectives going forward, and in particular, usability and research as applied to web design. Years of observing focus groups and user-testing have served to hone a design sense that is focused on the individual.
